A lawyer is registered as a specialist
A lawyer is able, because of his/her training and experience, to deal with all legal matters.
He/she can however take advantage of five preferred areas, which are branches of the law that he/she deals with from choice.
In addition to being able to state preferred areas, a lawyer can also take advantage of a specialisation in two subjects (or groups of subjects) when he/she has in-depth knowledge and practical experience in a specific subject matter in law. In order to do this, the lawyer must "prove his/her qualifications and worth" (for example, hold a university qualification) and have authorisation from the Association.
