The lawyer belongs to a Association
Belonging to a Association is one of the specific features of the lawyer's profession. This means that its members voluntarily subject themselves to a discipline which guarantees the dignity and honour of the profession.
The Association of lawyers for the NAMUR Bar meet once a year to directly elect their President of the Bar as well as members of the Association Council.
The President of the Bar and the Association Council play an important role at disciplinary and regulatory level with the main aim of ensuring that a lawyer's duties are properly carried out.
